About the System
One of the principal trends of the reform, which started in 2005, was the institutional reorganization of the court system, resulting in the well-ordered and well-functioning system and possibility to observe the principle of instance succession.
As the reform ends, 22 first instance courts and 44 magistrate courts will be functioning throughout Georgia.
